Quiet Waters Park

Quiet Waters Park consists of 340 acres of open grassy fields and beautifully forested land on the banks of the South River. The visitors’ center is the best place to start your visit to the park. Inside the visitors’ center are three art galleries featuring the work of local artists. They also provide maps so you can find other attractions in the park.

It costs $6 per car to get into the park but your money will be well spent, as you can spend the whole day here walking along trails through the woods and along the water. There are also plenty of open grassy fields and covered pavilions with picnic tables where you can stop for lunch, so make sure you bring a picnic along.

There are six main pavilions in the park that you can rent out for a family gathering, wedding reception, or birthday party. The covered pavilions come with grills, picnic tables, and garbage cans. All groups over 20 are required to rent a pavilion when gathering in the park. There are two small pavilions which are can seat up to 50 people and four large pavilions which can seat up to 100 people. All of the pavilions are near public restrooms and grassy fields where you can set up a game of volleyball, horseshoe, or badminton. Pavilion rentals are anywhere from $60 – $180 for the day depending on what day of the week you are renting them.

Each location has a gazebo with stunning views overlooking the South River or on the edge of one of the park’s serene ponds. If you’re traveling with your dog, Quiet Waters Park Maryland is a great place to bring them. The park has two off-leash dog areas where your pup can run around and a beach where they can swim. Dogs are also allowed on all the trails in the park but must remain on their leash.

During the fall and winter, the park opens up its ice skating rink. The ice skating rink is cash or checks only and you can rent skates, walkers, and helmets at the park. The ice rink is family-friendly and on weekends is a very popular spot for families. During the winter the park is also a popular spot for sledding.

During the summer you can explore Quiet Waters Park Annapolis from the water. The park’s boat rental building is open from April – Labor Day weekend and you can rent kayaks, rowboats, and paddle boards. They also offer guided kayak tours of the river which can be booked ahead of time.
